Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981, and a board member of the SSC's Board of Directors from 2011 she was one of the original co-artistic directors of Speech of Fire. In her role as the Artistic Director of SSC, she was SSC's composer, musician and text coach, as well as set/costume/music designer. Although she was usually the director of her group the first time she was directing was in SSC King Lear.
